I’ve been trying for so long
To read the writing on the wall
Everyone to blame but me
Now I see
It was my neglect that let the splinter
Bury in so deep, so deep
I cry when I watch the tv,
All my friends disowned me
Every commitment one foot in
Defeat is the drain I’m always circling
I’ve been known to slip up, slip up
I’ve been told to give up, give up
But I was born in the dark
And I can find my way from the deep end
Everything is falling, falling
Nobody is calling, calling
I’ve got to shout the words
I’ve got to shout the words so I can feel them.
I belong here, I belong here, I belong here, I belong
I belong here, I belong here, I belong here, I belong
I belong here, I belong here, I belong here, I belong

Another great album - dean wareham, joanna gruesome, lonely tourist, dorotea, the chills, manhattan love suicides & spearmint are all highlights but the whole lot is pretty darn great really martin kiosk

A friend came to visit me recently and we went for a walk. We were traversing a dual carriageway and there were pylons and hedgerows with crisp packets in them and he said, "This is the kind of view I associate with Manchester." It wasn't meant as an insult. So, if I say to you this music makes me think of the places where you pass through, then I hope you understand it's a compliment. It's being on my way somewhere, driving with the windows down or walking in the rain and feeling OK about it. bunny
